The winner of three Emmys for her makeup work on "The X-Files," Cheri Montesanto-Medcalf was on the fast track for success at an early age. At age 17, while still in high school, she was the department head for makeup on the movie Fear No Evil. Now, she is one of the most sought after makeup artists in the business. I got the chance to interview this perfectly lovely woman, and she gave the people of Classic-Horror a wonderfully insightful behind-the-scenes glimpse of "The X-Files."

Disney animator, actor, screenwriter, and just a plain old geeked-out monster kid, Frank Dietz is most known in the horror community for his business SKETCHY THINGS (www.sketchythings.com). Sketchy Things is a classic-horror caricature business which sells Frank's monster sketch books, posters of Frank's works, and an opportunity to have yourself drawn with your favorite movie monster! Not to mention, Frank does a moderately decent Christopher Lee impression. I got the opportunity to talk to this perfectly charming guy and it was probably the most easy going 30 minutes I ever spent interviewing.

Matthew W. Mungle Interview

Hammer, We Hardly Knew Ye

I’m sure all you boils and ghouls remember the very first time you saw Peter Cushing swing across the screen in Brides of Dracula. Perhaps, you felt a twinge in your stomach when you saw Christopher Lee show his fangs for the first time in Horror of Dracula. Or maybe you just couldn’t help to be swept into the atmosphere of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Regardless, there is a certain feeling you expect to generate while watching the typical Hammer horror. To the classic horror fan, Hammer is to horror as plastic is the Michael Jackson’s nose.
