Meet the Cast: CBS's "Moonlight"

A sunny spring afternoon may not seem like the best time to visit the set of a vampire show, but Moonlight vampires don’t burst into flames at the first hint of UV light. They just have to wear sunglasses and they suffer from heat exhaustion if they spend too long in the daylight. Of course, rehydrating a vampire takes something a little stronger than Gatorade.

Morality and Mortality in "Pathology"

Death, to most people, is a fairly abstract concept. Pathologists, though, deal with the physical reality of death. They face daily reminders that the human body is easily broken. Reminders that every one of us has an expiration date.

Pathology, a new horror-thriller which came out in limited release on April 18th, gives us a look at a group of medical students that deal with death by pushing their own lives to the limits. Drugs, twisted sex and murder are just recreational activities for these characters.

Five Horror Films for Easter

Just because Easter is a major religious holiday doesn't mean that it can't be used as an excuse to sit down and watch a bunch of horror films. Please note that this article is not for the easily offended or the uneasily offended, for that matter.

David Cronenberg Week

Maybe it was merely coincidence that three of our writers were all working on reviews of films directed by David Cronenberg at the same time, but we could hardly ignore it. If we're thinking about Canada's King of Veneral Horror right now, it's equally likely that you are, too. It's not surprising that he's in our heads right now, since he has a way of sticking there.

"Diary of the Dead" Star Shawn Roberts Interview

Diary of the Dead, George A. Romero's latest zombie opus, opens in limited release on Friday, February 15th. We managed to catch up with one of the film's stars, Shawn Roberts. No stranger to the Dead series, Roberts previously appeared as the doomed Mike in the first section of Land of the Dead. Now he's back, this time playing a member of a team of filmmakers in the middle of making a zombie movie when the dead really do start rising. The crew hits the road, trying to document the outbreak even as they run for their lives.

Yuletide Terror: Deck the Halls with Horror Reviews

As December 25th draws near, we decided to add a little more red to the holiday season with five reviews of Christmas-related horror films. Appropriately (or inappropriately, if you will), three of them involve killer Santas.

If you miss "Mystery Science Theater 3000", the daring cable program that followed Mike Nelson and his two robot compatriots (voiced by Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett) as they cracked wise at bad movies, never fear. Nelson, Murphy, and Corbett have banded together for a new project with the same basic idea: making fun of the dredges of cinema. This new venture is called The Film Crew, a direct-to-DVD series featuring the trio as a bunch of bozos tasked with making sure every film has its own commentary track.

Classic-Horror Halloween Viewing Guide 2007

Wondering what to watch on Halloween night? We have four lists for you, each one dedicated to a different "era" of horror. Each playlist is ordered chronologically, but you can (and should) mix things up to your preference. We tried limiting each list to eight hours worth of films, but we couldn't limit ourselves well enough, so instead we've provided the runtime (Rt) for each film in minutes so you can choose the best films for whatever time constraints you may or may not have.
