New NBC Series "Fear Itself" = Third Season of "Masters of Horror"

Producer-director Mick Garris told Fangoria that his recently announced series "Fear Itself", produced by Lionsgate and set to air on NBC during Summer 2008, is the third season of "Masters of Horror." The main difference betweens the series are shorter episode runtimes (to accomodate commercials) and the content will have to meet a stricter set of standards regarding violence, language, and sexuality. However, Garris revealed that Lionsgate would be releasing uncensored versions of each episode that would run a least five minutes longer than the network versions.

Lionsgate will co-produce the third season of the anthology series "Masters of Horror", producer Mick Garris revealed to Fangoria Radio. They will pick up where departing financing company Starz Entertainment left off. “Lionsgate is our new partner on 'Masters of Horror,'” Garris told Fangoria. “They wanted to be involved since the beginning, but they didn’t act fast enough." Lionsgate is now seeking out a network for the series, as Showtime has not picked up the option for Season 3.

Final Details on "Masters of Horror" Season 1 Box

Fangoria.com has scored the final details on Anchor Bay/Starz Entertainment's "Masters of Horror" Season 1 box set. Coming August 28th, the set will collect all 13 episodes of Showtime's horror anthology series in a "mausoleum" box. Also included (and this is the new information) will be a fourteenth disc with some intriguing featurettes. They are:
