Ash to Face Herbert West in Comic

There's been a couple Army of Darkness mini-series hitting comic stores within this past year which really have been not all that great due to the fact that they just kind of rehash famous dialouge and situations from the Evil Dead trilogy and bring not many new ideas to the table (and this is coming from someone who would buy and cherish a can of tuna if it had the Army of Darkness logo printed on it), but hopefully things will start to improve for the AoD comics, as the following mini-series has recently been announced:

Army of Darkness vs. Re-Animator.

You read that? Read it again. Let it sink in. Yeeesssss.

That's right, Ash's latest adventure finds him face-to-face with none other than Dr. Herbert West himself! But don't take my word for it, read what Dynamite Entertainment (the comic's publisher) had to say about the book:

"Fans of the Lovecraft creation know that Herbert West is a scientist obsessed with cheating death. "He discovers a serum that can be injected into the brain of the recently deceased that brings them back to life. But these revived people are no longer our friends, relatives or loved ones. They're adrenaline-driven zombies! Even more unfortunate is the fact that West runs into Ash, The Chosen One, who has a well-earned disdain for the undead!"

Lovecraftian zombies and chainsaws and Ash and West and…AGH!!!! Just picture all the gore that will be oozing out of this comic when it hits stores in July!

And to add to the coolness, the first issue will have four different variant covers by various artists (not counting a "Super-Rare" cover by artist Bradshaw), all of which can be seen at the following link: http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32086 .
