Hollywood's remake machine is churning again, this time targeting John Carpenter's The Fog. The new version will be produced by Carpenter and Debra Hill and feature "updated" effects.

Mick Garris's miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's "Desperation" has added some talented cast members, including Charles Durning (replacing the injured Cliff Roberston) and Tom Skerritt. The miniseries begins filming on Halloween day in Bisbee, Arizona. It will air on ABC in 2005.
