Kevin Smith's "Red State" Written

Kevin Smith told NewsAskew.com that the first draft of his upcoming horror-thriller Red State has been completed. According to Smith, it's the shortest script he's ever written in terms of page count, with the least amount of dialogue. "Unlike any other script I’ve ever authored, to say the least," Smith wrote. "Very f**ked up. If I’d never said anything about it in the press and put it out under a pseudonym, I doubt anyone would ever connect me with it."

Smith has been tight-lipped about the details of the plot, although he has compared it to The Shining in terms of mood.
