If you miss "Mystery Science Theater 3000", the daring cable program that followed Mike Nelson and his two robot compatriots (voiced by Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett) as they cracked wise at bad movies, never fear. Nelson, Murphy, and Corbett have banded together for a new project with the same basic idea: making fun of the dredges of cinema. This new venture is called The Film Crew, a direct-to-DVD series featuring the trio as a bunch of bozos tasked with making sure every film has its own commentary track.

You probably know Jeffrey Combs best for his role as mad scientist Herbert West in Stuart Gordon's cult classic Re-Animator, but the actor has brought so many more great performances to the genre. In July, at San Diego Comic-Con International, he sat down with us to rap about his latest -- reprising the part of Dr. Vannacutt from 1999's House on Haunted Hill for a new, direct-to-video sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill, being released on October 16th, 2007.

Aliens, time travel, sex, monsters, violence, sex, conspiracies, cover-ups and oh yeah, sex.  "Torchwood," which comes to the United States this Saturday on BBC America, is the little brother of "Doctor Who," or maybe the raunchy cousin who's got all the good porn on his computer.  "Torchwood" takes the popular character Captain Jack Harkness from the first season of Russell T.

With director Adam Green’s slasher film coming out in limited release on Friday, September 7th, now's as good as time as any to meet the Hatchet fodder: those poor innocent (and not-so-innocent) victims who take a Louisiana swamp tour right into the clutches of mutilated killer Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). The quotes come from interviews we conducted with the actors at San Diego Comic-Con or (in the case of Joel David Moore) over the phone.

He sleeps in a freezer, not a coffin.  He gets his blood from his dealer, a guy who works at a blood bank.  He doesn't burst into flames in the sun and he can't be killed with a stake through the heart.  He likes golf, Steve McQueen movies, classic Star Trek and Miles Davis.  That's the modern vampire as seen on the new fall show Moonlight (airing Fridays on CBS at 9PM EST/PST, starting September 28th).

Robert Englund is one of the legends of modern horror. The name "Freddy Krueger" is all the introduction he really needs, but his contributions to the genre extend far beyond that, not only as an actor, but as an enthusiast. We caught up with him at San Diego Comic-Con International while he was promoting Adam Green's upcoming slasher film Hatchet, in which he has a small role.

Award-winning horror director Daniel Myrick (The Blair Witch Project) is directing another independent horror film,  Believers. The latest in the Raw Feed series, Believers is set to be released on DVD on October 16th. While promoting Believers at San Diego Comic-Con 2007, Daniel Myrick took a few minutes to talk with Classic-Horror.com about his new film.

Director Adam Green's Hatchet is making waves in the horror community more for what it isn't than what it is: it's not a remake, it's not a sequel, and it's not PG-13. It's an honest-to-gosh R-rated slasher movie, starring honest-to-gosh horror icons Kane Hodder, Robert Englund, and Tony Todd, about a group of tourists who run afoul of  Victor Crowley (Hodder), a deformed killer who haunts the bayous of Louisiana. The film's fans have built the "Hatchet Army" to show their support for fresh material on the silver scream.
