Lions Gate Films, the God of horror movie distributors, will be releasing the newest film directed by Brian Yuzna (director of cult classics such as Bride of Re-Animator, Return of the Living Dead III, The Dentist, and Beyond Re-Animator). The film is titled Rottweiler and according to imdb.com, this is what it's about:

{Rottweiler} follows the story of a dog who was beaten severely at a young age and has surgery, in which it's bones are replaced with metallic bones. Later, this half robotic dog comes back for a gruesome revenge…

Judging by that laughably horrible description, I'd say chances are very good that this film will be grand. There's always a chance it won't be, but come on, who doesn't enjoy a movie about a killer cyborg dog mauling people every now and then? Rottweiler is set for a direct-to-video release date sometime in Spring of 2005.
