Open Water is a film that due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to see during its theatrical run. If you're like me, and have a big interest in the film but never got to see it, you're in luck. Actually, you're in luck even if you did see it and wish to own it. You see where I'm going with this? Eh? That's right, boils and ghouls--starting December 28th, the Open Water DVD will be available in stores near you! But will it include any special features, you ask? Well, let's check the specs…

--Crew commentary with Director Chris Kentis and producer Laura Lau
--Cast commentary with Blanchard Ryan and Daniel Travis
--"The Indie Essentials" filmmaker guide to marketing a movie
--The High Seas: Making Open Water
-- Trailers

So there you have it. Nothing too special, but not in any way bad. Amazon.com lists the disc as selling for $18.89 (when it comes out-you can only preorder it on Amazon right now), so expect it to be about $20 when it hits stores. But honestly, with a release date that close to whatever holiday you celebrate, you won't need to pay attention to petty concerns such as the price of the disc-you can simply cop your family or friends into buying it for you!
