Warner Bros. to Distribute "Fallen Angels"
Writer-director Jeff Thomas sent us the news that Warner Bros. has picked up his film Fallen Angels for theatrical and home video distribution in the United States via its Polychrome Pictures subdivision. In the film, the demolition of a turn of the century prison grinds to a halt when a 100 year old crime scene is discovered. Hidden deep underground is a chamber filled with the remains of several brutally slain children. As a CSI team arrives at the prison, an even more disturbing discovery is made that will eventually unveil a legion of seven demons and their even more chilling origins: each demon is responsible for one of the seven deadly sins.
The movie boasts an impressive cast, including Michael Dorn ("Star Trek: The Next Generation"), Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and The Devil's Rejects), Michael Berryman (the original The Hills Have Eyes), Reggie Bannister (all four Phantasm films), Kevin McCarthy (the 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers), David Hess (The Last House on the Left), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th Part VII and Hatchet), R.A. Mihailoff (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III), Ruth Buzzi ("Laugh-in"), and Christopher Knight ("The Brady Bunch"). Equally impressive is the man behind many of the special effects: Bob Keen, who realized the bloody tortures of Clive Barker's Hellraiser.
Fallen Angels will open in limited theatrical release on October 5th before making its way to DVD on November 13th. The DVD will contain a director's commentary, four featurettes, trailers, and a still gallery.
