WWE Horror?
In case you didn't know, World Wrestling Entertainment has recently created a new division of their company, and it's called WWE Films. Why is this of any importance to you? Well, possibly because one film they are planning on producing is going to be in the horror genre. Let the fanboy whining commence. What does a wrestling federation know about horror, anyway? Next to nothing, but that's not stopping them. The film will star wrestler Kane, and it will attempt to portray him as a "classic bad guy", according to producer Joel Simon, "…in the vein of Jason, Freddy, and Pinhead." This is certainly interesting news, and who knows, maybe it'll usher in a new era for the slasher subgenre. After all, one can never get enough of watching teens meet their demise as a result of murderous madmen, right?
